THERE was real championship fever in a sun-soaked MacCumhaill Park last Sunday as 15,000 people enjoyed Donegal’s win over Derry.
When you’re putting in the hard yards over the winter months, you’re dreaming of the big championship days, and the humour is always good when you come away with a win against your neighbours.
In terms of the match itself, it went pretty much as I expected.
Derry aren’t the same team they were two years ago, but they still have good players and they were dangerous in attack in the first half.
