Bonagee United……………….2
Killester-Donnycarney……..1
Bonagee United Women’s team were made to wait for their moment but they took it emphatically in extra time to book their spot in the FAI Women’s Amateur Cup final for the first time.
Killester-Donnycarney broke the deadlock in the first-half via the right boot of Naomi Flynn and it was cancelled out by a strike from Ciana Brogan before the hour.
Regulation time couldn’t separate the sides and Caitlin Fletcher popped up in extra-time to send her side to the showpiece final.
Chasing their pwn little chunk of history, Chris McNulty’s Bonagee side aimed to line out in the final for the first time.
Killester-Donnycarney of Dublin stood in their way and it was the visitors who started on the front foot with Katherine Meaney and Naomi Flynn both testing their luck early on with strikes from range.
