The opening stanza of this encounter was a finely poised encounter but the hosts had two opportunities to hit the front early on however, Alex McBrearty and Mattthew McClean saw their efforts go just wide of the mark.

Just after the half hour mark, Mickey Funston’s side took the lead as Shay Maloney headed the ball home from six yards and they would enter the interval with the slender advantage.

15 minutes after the restart, Bonagee United doubled their lead after Aidan Brennan rifled the ball into the roof of the net from a narrow angle.

Shaun Kelly’s men tried to battle back in the closing 30 minutes of the game but the Dry Arch Park residents managed the game well to seal their progression.
