200 trucks to take part in charity run on Saturday

MORE than 200 trucks will take part in a charity event on Saturday to raise funds for Raphoe Community Play Group and the Donegal Hospice.

The trucks will leave Raphoe Mart at approximately 3pm along the R236 to the Ballinalecky Junction on the N14 in the townland of Carrickadawson. They will turn left and travel to the Manorcunningham Roundabout and taking the second exit onto the N13 and travel to Bridgend and back to the Manor roundabout and onto the Dual Carriage way and into the Clanree Hotel car park.

Gardaí will be on hand to assist with traffic matters and there should be minimal disruption to traffic on the day.

A garda spokesperson said: “We ask all road users to leave extra time for journeys and to plan ahead keeping this event in mind if they wish to travel on any of the routes mentioned that day.”
