A BODY has been recovered from a lake in Fanad during searches for missing Galway man Greg King.

Greg was last seen the Fanad area around midnight on Sunday.

It is understood he was visiting the area.

Following a social media appeal, searches had been ongoing in the area.

Gardaí have now confirmed that they recovered a body of a man from Kinnaloch at around 11pm last night.

A file is being prepared for the Coroners Court.

Gardai said their investigations are ongoing.
