Blow for Cloughaneely as Harley heads to Oz

Cloughaneely will be without a vital player in 2024 as Mark Harley has transferred to the Easts club in Australia.

Harley has been a key player for the Falcarragh side in recent years but he won’t be available for the foreseeable future and he is the fourth player from the club to head down under over the last 14 months.

Former Donegal senior player Eunan Doherty will also play for the Easts club after transferring from county champions Naomh Conaill.

Ex-county teammates Ethan O’Donnell (Naomh Conaill) and Cian Mulligan (Gaoth Dobhair) will link up once again with the St Finbarr’s club.

Ryan Gillespie, who played for Naomh Columba in the 2022 Intermediate final is also in Australia and has linked up with the St Kevin’s club.

Darragh O’Donnell from Kilcar has headed down under as well and has joined Clan na Gael.

Meanwhile, Ryan Brogan has come home from Philadelphia and rejoined Naomh Brid, while Ardara goalkeeper Patrick Gallagher is also back from the States.
