Letterkenny-born Shane Blaney is hoping for a third start in-a-row when Motherwell takes on Kilmarnock at Fir Park this evening.
The 25-year-old plays primarily as a centre-back for Motherwell but is also used as a left-back.
Blaney signed for Motherwell in January 2023 on a free transfer after impressing with Sligo Rovers.
The defender has scored three goals for Motherwell in 46 appearances for the Steelmen.
Blaney will be hoping to have a good festive period with a difficult trip to Celtic Park on Boxing Day and then they are set to host Rangers three days later.
Balney has started the last two games in the Scottish Premiership, defeating St Mirren and Dundee United.
Motherwell currently sit fourth in the Scottish Premiership, one point ahead of Dundee United and seven behind Rangers.
Kilmarnock are currently sit in eighth, eight points behind Motherwell. The match kicks off at 7.45pm.
