MOTHER and daughter team Roisin and Aoife O’Sullivan from Gweedore visited Patrick Gildea Hairdressing today not only for a fabulous hair cut but also to donate their beautiful long hair to the Rapunzel Foundation.
The Rapunzel Foundation is an organisation which helps people with hair loss through the collection of pony tails for the manufacture of natural hair wigs.
Collecting ponytails from donors helps to address the current wig-hair shortage and also assists in alleviating the cost of wig purchase for those who need it most.
Roisin mentioned that amazingly it was her young daughter Aoife who is only 9- years-old that really wanted to give something back by donating her hair and she decided to join her.
Two beautiful transformations for two lovely people and a fantastic cause. Well done Roisin and Aoife – don’t they JUST LOOK GORGEOUS!
