THE world famous artist Dermot Cavanagh is set to host a three-day painting course in Milford next week.
The artist and tutor from the BBC TV series ‘Awash with Colour’ will be demonstrating invaluable tips and techniques for successful watercolour painting. The course begins on Monday, April 17 in the Mulroy Woods Hotel and runs until Wednesday.
During the 74 episodes of ‘Awash with Colour’ Dermot taught many celebrities to paint.
Packie Bonner, Brian Kennedy, Barry McGuigan, Tina Kellegher, and Mary Black all took up painting under his expert guidance.
If you’re interested in trying it out for yourself this course will suit painters of all abilities including beginners and all art materials are provided.
“People often say they have learned more from Dermot’s courses in a few days than from years attending other classes,” said a spokesperson for the event.
“Dermot Cavanagh will build your confidence, remove the mystery around art and have you creating paintings to be proud of in no time. Places are limited to allow for lots of individual attention and expert tuition.”
Daily painting sessions will run from 10am to 4.30pm and the cost is £199.00.
Lunches can also be purchased at the venue.
