INISHOWEN looks set to return three Fianna Fail and three Sinn Fein councillors with Independent former town councillor Nicholas Crossan looking close to a quota. The final two seats are likely to go to Labour’s Martin Farren and Fine Gael’s John Ryan.
Eight of the 18 candidates in Inishowen have more than 1,000 votes each according to the final tally which is missing two boxes. The quota is expected to be in the region of 1,500.
Sinn Fein’s analysis team complained that they were not granted access to the Aura Leisure Centre until 9 am which meant they were late getting their tally people in place.
