A ‘bat safari’ will be held around the Fanad Peninsula next week.
The event is being organised by Bat Conservation Ireland to break some of the myths around bats and their way of life.
The bat walk and talk will set off from Fanavolty Community Hall at 6.30pm on Friday, October 17.
Booking is essential and places can be booked here.
Anyone coming along is asked to wear appropriate warm and waterproof clothing and bring a torch.
The event is being organised by Comhar Fhánada & Ghleann Bhairr and Donegal County Council, funded by the council and the Heritage Council through the Local Biodiversity Action Plan Programme.
