Barrett and Toland included in Ireland squad

TYLER Toland and Amber Barrett have been included in the Ireland Women’s National Team squad that has been confirmed for their remaining UEFA Women’s Nations League Group 2 games away to Türkiye and home to Slovenia.
Head Coach Carla Ward has selected 24 players for two games that Ireland need to win in order to have a chance of securing promotion to League A, as they currently trail Group leaders Slovenia.
Toland (St Johnston) and Barrett (Milford) will both be hoping to get minutes, as will Anna Patten who qualifies for Ireland through her grandfather, who hails from Falcarragh.
The first game sees Ireland take on Türkiye in Istanbul on Friday, May 30th with the game kicking off at 18:00 Irish Time (20:00 local time). They will then finish up this Group campaign by hosting Slovenia in Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Cork on Tuesday, June 3rd.

Injuries rule out Heather Payne (Achilles) and Leanne Kiernan (Quad), while Tara O’Hanlon, Jamie Finn, Lily Agg and Jess Ziu are still recovering from long-term injuries.
Veteran defender Louise Quinn has been included to bring her leadership to the squad ahead of retiring this summer, while Megan Connolly returns after missing the back-to-back wins over Greece in April.
