A MAN in his 60s who died following a workplace accident in Ballyshannon earlier this week has been named as Fermanagh native Gerry Keown.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to a fatal workplace accident at a premises in Ballyshannon at approximately 1pm on Wednesday, January 29.
Mr McKeown, of Carnmore, Roscor, Bellek was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A garda spokesperson said: “His body was removed from the scene and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.”
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) have launched an investigation.
A file will now be prepared for the Coroner’s Court.
