Ballyliffin Coastal Challenge donates €10,000 to help rebuild Doagh Famine Village

BALLYLIFFIN Coastal Challenge has donated €10,000 to help rebuild the Famine Village on the Isle of Doagh.

The Coastal Challenge is an organisation set up to promote tourism in the area, especially at Easter, when a 10 mile challenge took place through the Isle of Doagh and across Pollan Bay to the car park below the village of Ballyliffin.

A spokesperson from Ballyliffin Coastal Challenge said: “We are giving this donation to Pat to help him rebuild. We commiserate with the Doherty family in the loss of the historical artefacts and buildings and wish them every success in the future.”
