A DONEGAL student has been selected to participate in the Aer Lingus Future Pilot Programme in Spain.
Cormac O’Donnell from Ballybofey is one of 30 successful candidates selected out of over 6,000 applicants.
Having a determination to fly from a young age, Cormac is now one step closer to his dream career as a pilot.
The former student of St. Columba’s College will now undergo a very intensive training program lasting over 14 months in collaboration with FTE Jerez, in the south of Spain.
Following the training, Cormac will then return to Aer Lingus to commence a type rating course on the Airbus A320 family of aircraft and begin a long career as a pilot with Aer Lingus.
Extending good wishes to their past pupil, St. Columba’s College in Ballybofey wished him all the best on his exciting future career.
