GARDAÍ are hunting for a balaclava-clad man who was seen approaching a parked car in Letterkenny and pouring a substance over it causing substantial damage.
The incident of criminal damage occurred at Orchard Crescent on Thursday, December 19, between 10.20am and 10.25am.
Gardaí have said that a man approached a parked car in that area and he poured an unknown substance all over it causing substantial damage.
The man in question was dressed all in black and he wore a balaclava. He made his way from Orchard Crescent on foot in the direction of Ard O’Donnell following the incident.
Gardaí are urging anyone in the areas of Orchard Crescent, High Road or Ard O’Donnell between 10am and 11am with dash cam on the day in question to make the footage available to them.
“We are confident that someone will have observed this man due to his unusual attire and the fact that he was on foot in broad daylight in such a busy area. If anybody can assist with dash cam footage or relevant information, we ask them to contact Letterkenny Garda Station on (074) 9167100 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.”
