Three males wearing balaclavas set fire to an oil tank at a house in Castlefin, before smashing six windows of the property and the rear windscreen of a car parked at the address.
Gardaí are investigating the incident of criminal damage in the area of Gortnamuck, Castlefin, on Saturday, December 27 shortly before 6.40pm.
The fire service attended the scene and extinguished the fire. Nobody was hurt.
A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anyone who may have witnessed these males in the area or witnessed the incident to make contact with Gardaí in Ballyshannon on 071-9858530. If anyone travelled in that general area with a dash-cam between 6pm and 7pm on that date, we ask them to make the footage available to us.
