Donegal County Council have advised the county to stay indoors today and tomorrow unless it is absolutely necessary. In relation to the nationwide Status Red Level weather warning issued by Met Eireann last night, council offices including libraries will be closed today from 3pm and will remain closed tomorrow.

“The council is asking all members of the public to follow the advice to avoid non-essential travel and remain indoors, and to heed the advice from local and national media. These updates will be carried out on the Council’s social media outlets. Essential and emergency response services will continue to be provided,” a spokesperson said.
