Castlefinn’s Ruby Druce (108) is Ireland’s oldest person


FOLLOWING the sad passing of Galway’s Phyllis Furness (109) yesterday, Castlefinn’s Ruby Druce is now believed to be the oldest person in Ireland. Phyllis Furness died in Galway yesterday evening, after celebrating her 109th birthday on May 23 at Moycullen nursing home. Ruby turned 108-years-old on New Year’s Eve.
