Donegal accounts for almost almost 15% of viagra spend
DONEGAL accounted for almost fifteen per cent of the HSE’s spend on Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs in 2010, according to figures released this week.
Plans for new Primary Care Centres in Donegal Town and Dungloe
Fine Gael Minister of State for the Gaeltacht, Dinny McGinley T.D. for Donegal South West, has welcomed plans to develop two new Primary Care Centres in Donegal Town & Dungloe. The announcement was made as part of a multi-billion euro stimulus package unveiled by the Government, which also includes significant investment in roads and schools across the country.

Tax defaulters pay almost €1 million
SIX tax defaulters in Donegal made settlements totalling just under €1 million with the Revenue Commissioners in the three month period from April to June this year.
The largest settlement in the county was made by a Killybegs launderette owner, William Cunningham of Bridge Street who made a settlement of €262,390. It resulted from an underdeclaration of Income Tax and VAT discovered in a Revenue Single Premium Insurance Products Case and an Offshore Assets Investigation Case.

Memorial for infants in Burt
Members of the Burt community will come together later this week to discuss plans to establish a permanent memorial to infants who had not been baptised and were therefore buried in an unconsecrated plot outside the main cemetery. Over the years the local cemetery has been extended incorporating the plot within the present boundaries.
