Beijing visit set to strengthen Donegal and China ties


LINKS between Donegal and China are set to be further reinforced next weeks as Minister Joe McHugh and a delegation from Letterkenny Institute of Technology sign a Memorandum of Understanding at the Irish Embassy in Beijing.

Measles outbreak – three more cases suspected


The measles outbreak is continuing in Donegal. Last week, there were two confirmed cases in the county. Today the HSE have said there are three more probable cases and they are investigating several other possible cases.


Family of six homeless in Letterkenny appeal for help


A LETTERKENNY-based family have been made homeless this morning after being asked to leave their temporary accommodation.
Speaking to the Donegal News Jo Barton, who is currently in the Public Services Centre in Letterkenny with her husband Mohammed and four children has appealed for help.


€14million Fibre Broadband Investment for six new towns


A new €14 million investment by SIRO in the rollout of its Fibre-to-the-Building (FTTB) broadband network to six new towns in Donegal – Buncrana, Donegal Town, Ballybofey, Stranorlar, Ballyshannon and Bundoran has been launched today. This will see over 14,000 homes and premises offered access to Ireland’s fastest broadband network.
