Donegal Sinn Féin Senator Pádraig Mac Lochlainn has confirmed that his party’s Finance Spokesperson and Donegal TD, Pearse Doherty has written to the Central Bank asking that they encourage the banks and financial institutions to assist the families affected by Mica defective blocks in their homes with the 10% contribution they will have to make to the cost of making their homes safe under the forthcoming Redress/ Repair Scheme.
Visiting Restrictions Extended at Letterkenny Hospital
Following an infection control meeting this afternoon, the visiting restrictions at Letterkenny University Hospital have been extended.
From this afternoon, no visitors are permitted to visit the hospital other than in exceptional circumstances and following prior arrangement with the ward manager.
