An appeal for information has been launched after an attempt was made to force open a security box in the Sacristy of St Crona’s Church, Dungloe.
The incident happened on Tuesday, April 30, between 8am and 8pm.
A garda spokesperson said: “The opening to the security box is located on the interior wall of the Church and this is where the attempt was made. Damage was caused to the box but nothing was stolen.”
If anybody observed any suspicious people or activity in that area last Tuesday or if they have any relevant information, they are asked them to contact Gardaí in Milford on (074) 9153060.
