GARDA investigations after an attempted robbery at the the post office in St. Johnston on Thursday afternoon.
A man entered the premises and demanded money from the postal assistant. When he refused, the man tried to kick in a door leading to the cashier but after a number of attempts was unsuccessful.
The man fled on foot to an awaiting car. The Vauxhall Vectra sped off in the direction of Derry. The incident happened around 2.45 pm.
Gardai in Letterkenny are appealing for information on 074-91-67100.
