TWO people are dead and one seriously injured following a horror crash which occurred outside Newtowncunningham this afternoon.
Emergency services rush to the scene of the incident between two cars which occurred at Moyle, about one mile on the Letterkenny side of Newtown’ shortly after 2:30pm.
A male and female aged in their 30s were pronounced dead at the scene. A third male was taken by ambulance to hospital in Derry. It is believed the woman was travelling alone from Letterkenny while the other deceased and the injured man were in a separate car coming from the Derry direction.
The local coroner has been notified.
Gardaà and the emergency services are currently at the scene, the road is closed and diversions are in place. Garda forensic collision investigators have been requested to examine the scene.
