Ascroft strikes again as Harps defeat Bohs

Finn Harps 1-0 Bohemians

Harry Ascroft scored the winning goal for the second week in-a-row as Finn Harps saw off Bohemains in Finn Park.

Ascroft scored the crucial goal against Derry City last week, and he netted the winner after only nine minutes against Bohs tonight.

The Ballybofey men were comfortable at the back, and Bohs didn’t trouble Mark Anthony McGinley, who kept his fifth clean sheet in six matches.

Harps held on to win their third league game on the trot, and with UCD losing to Derry, Ollie Horgan’s men are now six points clear of the students.

Harps are in FAI Cup action next Friday when they take on Shamrock Rovers.
