THE extension project for the secondary school on Arranmore Island has secured approval to proceed to tender.
Under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme Gairmscoil Mhic Diarmada will get an extension consisting of one classroom, one art room and two toilets.
Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine and Donegal T.D., Charlie McConalogue, confirmed the progress on the project this evening.
The Minister commented “this progress is positive news for Árainn Mhór and for the staff, students, and parents of the school and will improve the offering and services of the school. I thank Minister Norma Foley for confirming the news and for the work of the principal, the staff, students and parents of the school for progressing the project. I thank Cllr Noreen McGarvey for her work with the school community too.”
