RNLI Relief coxswain Sean Curtin, from Valentia Island in Kerry, said : “Due to spring tides the water level was really low and I would like to pay tribute to the crew on board for their knowledge of the local area, it is a pleasure to work with the Arranmore crew as they are so knowledgeable of the tides and the area in which they operate.”

Sean continued: “Working out of the new station which was recently opened is a great experience, on my last service here we operated out of porta cabins which was rather cramped and the space in the new building is great to work out of. On behalf of the crew I would like to wish both patients a speedy recovery.”
