Arranmore RNLI rescued four fishermen off the coast of Arranmore Island yesterday evening.
The crew were called around 4pm, following reports of an engine failure in a crabbing boat north west of the island. The crabbing boat had four crew members on board.
After securing a tow rope onto the 15 meter boat, they were safely towed back to Burtonport harbour by the lifeboat.
Lifeboat Coxswain, Jimmy Early, praised all involved in the rescue operation, saying the moderate weather and the level of experience of the fishermen involved played a part in the safe rescue of the four crew members.
