We all have a lot more time on our hands these days – but that may not be a bad thing.
These are uncertain and strange times for everyone and all we can do is stick together – by staying apart – to get through it. Many things have had to be postponed, work life has changed for many ofus and children and young people are missing their friends, school and routine.
However, while we are living differently for the time being, that doesn’t mean that we can’t put the time on our hands to good use to become creative in the our homes or gardens.
Upcycling has been a popular form of changing, updating or mordernising household and garden furniture for quite a while. Upcycling can also just be quirky. It’s an enjoyable exercise that can involve the whole family, giving each member a role to play in the finished product.
So, with this in mind we would love to know have you, our readers, upcycled any items in your home or garden so far? Or do you plan to do so in the coming weeks as Spring is here and the weather, so far, is being kind to us.
If you have already upcycled, we would love to see your photographs and a little bio of what you upcycled, who was involved and the outcome to use in a feature we are putting together.
You never know, your upcycled masterpiece may just inspire someone else.
So, go on, share your images and your stories with us. You can send them into us via our Facebook page or by e-mailing l.doyle@donegalnews.com
