NEXT month one of the world’s most entertaining forms of endurance races comes to the North West to test athletes’ mental and physical ability.
Ultimate Survivor is the new innovative physical challenge based at The Old Foundry Paintball grounds, Lurgy, Letterkenny, and taking place on Saturday, July 5.
Mud runs have become a very popular challenge all over the world and this is the first 10k and 5k obstacle run, with plenty of mud, for the Northwest of Ireland.
The innovate event is the brainchild of local business owner Gerard O’Donnell and donations from each entry are allocated to five charities – three local and two in Northern Ireland. Participants also have an option of doing the challenge as a fundraiser.
The course is set to test your mental and physical ability no matter what your fitness. Be prepared for a few hours of fun while running, jumping, climbing, crawling or walking through some of the toughest terrain in the country. Ultimate Survivor will test all abilities.
On the day, The Old Orchard Inn, Letterkenny, is providing a free barbecue from 5pm and will have a free cold bottle of beer/juice for you to celebrate your achievement. This will be followed by a night not to be missed with your reduced entry into the Pulse Nite Club.
It’s time to gather your family, friends and colleagues for a day of craic. The Ultimate Survivor can be used as a personal achievement, team building exercise or why not run for a charity, local club or organisation of your choice.
