Ardara 2-19 Glenfin 1-20
Ardara got their hands on the Under 21 ‘B’ title at the Burn Road today after they got the better of Glenfin in a fantastic game of football.
The first half was really entertaining with some brilliant shooting on show.
Jamie O’Donnell netted a goal for Glenfin but Eoghan McNelis (2), Shane Sweeney and Gavin Sweeney all landed two-pointers for Ardara.
HT: Ardara 0-12 Glenfin 1-8.
Shane Sweeney’s goal helped Ardara move into a 1-15 to 1-9 lead after 43 minutes but Glenfin fought back and kicked five on the trot.
McNelis supplied another two-pointer before Kyle McHugh drilled home a second goal for Ardara but a brace of two-pointers from Shaun Ward kept Glenfin in the mix.
Ward left one between the sides in the 66th minute but a free from man-of-the-match Eoghan McNelis was the final say of the contest and Ardara were thrilled with their win.
