A CROSS-border investigation into the murder of a Convoy woman earlier this year is being stepped up.
Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Serious Crime Branch are appealing for information Lu Na McKinney (35), who died at Devenish Island in Fermanagh on Thursday, April 13.
Police this week issued a photograph of the mother of two in the hope that people will come forward with any information they have about her.
Last week, Mrs McKinney’s husband, Stephen, (41) was charged with her murder. McKinney, with an address of The Flax Fields, Convoy, was refused bail at Omagh Court last week as police considered he posed a flight risk.
Detective Inspector David McGrory said: “I would like to hear from anyone who knew her or who had contact with Mrs McKinney in the months preceding her death,” he said.
“Colleagues in An Garda Síochána are working jointly with PSNI to investigate Lu Na’s death, and anyone with information can contact either the PSNI on 04890 650 222 , confidential Crime Stoppers number on 0800 555 111 or An Garda Síochána at Letterkenny on (074) 9167100, the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
