Appeal after kayaks and life jackets stolen

THREE kayaks with paddles and life jackets have been stolen from the Derrynamansher/Crolly area.

The items were taken in the last couple of days and local councillor Micheal Colm Mac Giolla Easbuig has appealed for them to be handed back.

“This is a very quiet remote beautiful area of west Donegal,” he said.

“These kayaks were privately owned but were open to anybody in the community to use free of charge any time. It is very disappointing that somebody would steal from our community.

“If anybody has been offered these kayaks for sale I would ask them not to buy them and I would also speak directly to those who where involved in stealing the kayaks please return them and do the right thing by our community.”
