THE race for the Sam Maguire Cup moves up a notch this weekend, but in Donegal, the apathy lingers.
There is no enthusiasm for football at present, or anticipation of what the new All-Ireland Series format might bring.
During the two Covid championships, GAA folk in the county longed for a second chance when the senior team were beaten in the province.
Now the general consensus is that a minimum of three extra games is a nuisance and they may not be very pretty.
