Anger at vandalism of Christmas decorations

A Donegal community group has spoken of their “anger and disgust” at the vandalism of Christmas decorations outside their resource centre.

Manorcunningham Resource Centre took to Facebook to vent their frustration at the mindless act.

“To say we are disgusted and angry is an understatement,” said a spokesperson.

“Last night someone decided to vandalise the Christmas decorations outside the Resource Centre.

“They cut the electric wire off one of our blow-up decorations and then discarded it up the street.

“As most of you are aware we are a completely voluntary organisation that works hard and gives freely of our own time to run the centre for the people of the community.

“Every year we have been trying to add to our outside decorations and to think that someone would just come along and do this random act of vandalism and destroy one of our new decorations is just heart-breaking.

“We are so angry.”
