An Gríanán Theatre present ‘When the Moon Spun Round’

Ireland’s leading Circus Company Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Theatre have teamed up with the virtuosic traditional music company Ceol Connected to co-create a magical new show coming to An Grianán Theatre on Saturday at 11am.

‘When the Moon Spun Round’ will be presented to audiences in Ireland this Autumn, with performances across the country.

Inspired by the poetry and stories of WB Yeats, this coming together of artists and performers from the worlds of aerial dance and traditional arts has resulted in a unique experience that has left audiences of all ages enthralled.

“It was the cats who noticed it first; the moon had spun round. And with a great and mischievous smile the moon asked for a new dance for all.”

Come on an imaginative journey where aerial performers dance like the waves of the sea; where a fiddler soars high; and where cloths made from the night and light and half-light suspend, float and fall.

And let’s not forget the very mysterious antique lady of the river whose feathers explore what lies behind the moon once it spins round!

Tickets are €12 per person and €8 per child.

For more information or to buy tickets visit angrianan.com or contact the box office on 074 912 0777 (9.30AM – 3.30PM).

This show is recommended for children aged 6 years old or above.
