An Clochan Liath 2-9 An Tearmann 1-8
A youthful An Clochan Liath pulled off the upset of the weekend as they defeated reigning champions An Tearmann in the Senior Ladies final of the Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta in Ard an Rátha.
Tony Ó Baoill’s side had a slow start and a Sionnan Nic Lochlainn goal had An Tearmann five clear in the early stages, but An Clochan Liath hit back to level at the break, 0-6 to 1-3.
They were two down ten minutes into the second half but took the lead for the first time when Mia Ní Dhomhnaill hitting the net and five minutes later Córa de Bhailís added a second goal to take the win.
