The Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland (ASI) is planning to relocate its Donegal office to Ballybofey.
The new office will relocate from Donegal Town and will be based in the old FÁS office in Dunfril House on Chestnut Road, Ballybofey.
A spokesperson for the charity told the Donegal News yesterday that they plan to make the move in late April or May.
“This office base will be for our Service management team to include homecare co-ordinators, Daycare managers and admin staff and will be the base for our ASI operations across Donegal,” the spokesperson said.
“In the coming months we will providing dementia specific support services from this location.”
On May 5 the ASI will once again host their Alzheimer’s Tea Day which is their biggest and most important fundraiser.
As part of the event, the ASI is inviting everyone to come together again for a cup of tea, a chat and maybe a treat or two on the day to help raise funds for vital dementia supports and services.
There are an estimated 64,000 people living with dementia in Ireland and each year more than 11,000 people develop the disease across the country – that’s at least 30 people every day.
