Almost €87,000 award to Donegal clubs in Ulster Scheme

A total of 19 clubs from Donegal have received funding through Ulster GAA’s 2025 Club Infrastructure Development Grant Scheme.

The aim of the scheme is to assist clubs in the improvement and development of their physical infrastructure, with capital works completed between 01/10/2023 and 30/09/2025 eligible for support.

Ulster GAA Treasurer, Michael McArdle commented:

“Our clubs perform exceptional work in providing physical developments for their members and communities, and Ulster GAA is pleased to acknowledge these efforts by supporting this high number of recipients.

“The financial support offered through this program underscores the ambition and vision of the clubs within our nine counties to enhance facilities for future generations.”

The GAA takes pride in the ongoing redistribution of its income to grassroots initiatives across the province. Annually, 83 cents of every euro received is reinvested into clubs to assist in funding developments like infrastructure projects.

The scheme is funded by both Central Council and Ulster GAA with over €3.4m distributed through this scheme over the last four years.

The following areas of development considered for support:

  • Purchase of Grounds
  • Pitch Development
  • Spectator Accommodation
  • Pavilion Development
  • Additional/Sustainable Infrastructure Development
  • Pitch Verti-Draining

Donegal received a total of €86,290 between 19 clubs, the fifth highest in Ulster.
