THE community of Churchill and surrounding areas have helped raise almost €3,000 from a charity Tractor and Vintage Car Run.
Proceeds from the event will go to the local Stramore National School to help with the costs of sending staff members and pupils to Texas for the VEX Robotics World Championships.
The event in Dallas got underway on Tuesday and continues until Thursday next, May 4.
The talented team of young students qualified for the VEX Robotics Competition after winning the Irish competition last month.
They will travel to the US on Sunday.
Wilkin’s Bar was the location for the charity Tractor and Vintage Car Run which attracted entries from far and wide.
The event was brilliantly supported and thanks are extended to all who took part or helped out in any way.
