THE Allen Wylie Memorial Vintage Tractor Run is set to take place on Saturday, May 11.
Registration on the day will take place at 10am behind the Clanree Hotel in Letterkenny followed by a charity auction at 11.30am.
The annual Tractor Run will then get underway at 12.30pm.
Entry is €20 with all monies raised going to the Good and New Cancer Bus.
Allen was known far and wide for his amazing fundraising abilities raising over €100,000 for charity over the years.
He will always be remembered as a genuine, down-to-earth and kind hearted man whose wish was that his family continue on with the charity journey, but that the next tractor run would only be the older vintage machinery.
Taking to social media this week, Allen’s family kindly asked if possible that all those taking part could respect that wish and come out in force to display their vintage tractors for this event.
“If you don’t have a vintage tractor you’re more than welcome to bring along your newer model tractor also,” they said.
Parking will be organised in areas for all cab-less first, then vintage with cabs, four cylinder and six cylinder and then those with modern 40+km/hr following up the rear end of the event.
