Senator Brian O'Domhnaill.

AN ALLEGED ‘drunk in charge’ case against Donegal Senator Brian O’Domhnaill has been adjourned again at Letterkenny District Court.
The Fianna Fail politician was not present in court but was represented, in Irish, by his solicitor, John Cannon.
The charges against Senator O’Domhnaill (37) of Killult, Falcarragh, include being ‘drunk in charge’ of a vehicle as well as hit-and-run, failing to report an occurrence, hit-and-run failing to remain at the scene, and hit-and-run failing to give appropriate information.

The incident is alleged to have happened at Tullygay on the outskirts of Letterkenny on September 2, 2013.
Mr Cannon asked Judge Paul Kelly to have the case adjourned to a date in the future “to see where it stands and to mention it”.

Judge Paul Kelly, who responded in Irish, agreed to Mr Cannon’s request and adjourned the case back to Letterkenny District Court on February 19 for hearing.
