Cill Chartha 0-20 Naomh Anna 1-8
Cill Chartha were dominant winners in the All-Ireland Senior Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta final as they defeated Naomh Anna by nine points.
The Towney men were well in control from the beginning and led by 0-10 to 0-5 at the half-time interval, with Stiofán Mac Briartaigh hitting three of the scores.
Naomh Anna reduced the deficit to three points with eight minutes gone in the second half as Warren Seoighe converted a penalty, but Kilcar kept the scores coming with Mac Briartaigh (0-5), Maitiú Mac Léin (0-4), Ciarán Mac Fhionnghaile (0-3) and Eoghan Mac Aodha (0-3) doing the majority of the scoring.
It’s a seventh Senior Gaeltacht title for Cill Chartha who deserved their success in Cill na Martra, Cork.
