Advice First team set to skydive for Lifestart Donegal

SIX members of the team at Advice First Financial Services Ltd are preparing to take fundraising to new heights — by jumping out of an aeroplane in support of Lifestart Services Donegal.

The Donegal-based financial advisers will take part in a charity skydive in the coming weeks, raising funds for the organisation which provides vital support for parents and young children across the county.

Importantly, Advice First will cover the full cost of the skydive themselves, meaning that every euro raised through the fundraiser will go directly to Lifestart Services Donegal.

Lifestart, part of The Parenting Organisation Donegal, helps to provide parenting education, child development guidance and family support services for families throughout Donegal. Through its home visiting programmes and parenting support, the organisation works with parents from pregnancy through the early years of a child’s life, helping families understand and support children’s development during those crucial early stages.

Founder of Advice First Financial, Pascal Curran, said the team wanted to support a local organisation making a real difference in the community.

“Like most people in Donegal, we see how important strong support services are for families. Lifestart provides guidance and practical support to parents during some of the most important years of a child’s development,” he said.

“We wanted to do something practical to support that work, and somehow six of us agreed to jump out of a plane.”

The team has set a fundraising goal of €1,000, with all funds raised going directly to support Lifestart’s work with families across the county.

“Advice First is covering the cost of the jump ourselves, so every euro donated will go straight to the charity,” Mr Curran added.

“And if nothing else, people can take some comfort in knowing they helped push a few financial advisers out of a perfectly good aeroplane.”
