Adult education tutor’s anger after pay deal is reneged

A DONEGAL adult education programme tutor has said he could be forced to leave the sector after an agreed contract improving pay and conditions has been reneged upon.

Finn Mac Aodháin said he and others who deliver adult education programmes in Donegal have been left in ‘dire straits’ following the shock move.

The Fintown man was one of a number of tutors who took part in a national protest outside Leinster House in February, demanding better pay and calling for the same conditions as their post-primary counterparts.
