ABBEY Vocational School have claimed the MacLarnon Cup for the first time with a good win over Our Lady & St Patrick’s College, Knock at the Athletic Grounds today.
There was a slow start to the match and the sides were level at one point apiece after 15 minutes.
However, Abbey soon clicked into gear and Conor McCahill scored a fine goal as they raced ahead.

Abbey made hard work of things in the second half and kicked eight wides.
However, scores from Seanan Carr and Conor Meehan steadied them up.
Kevin Muldoon put the gloss on Abbey’s win with an injury-time goal.
