Aaron Doherty curled over a lovely injury-time winner as Donegal defeated Armagh to win the Division 2 League title today.
Ciaran Thompson was brilliant for Donegal in the first half and his four points helped his team into a 0-8 to 0-7 lead at the break.
Donegal enjoyed a good third quarter and moved four ahead with Niall O’Donnell (2), Shane O’Donnell, and Gallen all scoring.
Armagh kept going and five successive points in eight minutes saw them take the lead.
Caolan McGonagle and Gallen steadied Donegal up with points before Oisin Conaty levelled matters.
However, Donegal kept going and Aaron Doherty slotted between the sticks in the 73rd minute to secure the national title.
