THE Department of Health has announced this evening that a further 936 people have been diagnosed with Covid-19 – a daily record – bringing the total to 17,607.
There have been 28 more deaths, though three others have been ‘denotified’, so the total now is 794. Almost half of the deaths (361) have been nursing home residents.
There are now 431 confirmed cases in Donegal, a rise of 15 on the previous day’s figure (416). For the second successive day, the Health Protection Surveillance Centre has not given a breakdown of the locations of the deaths.
There had been 38 recorded deaths in the North West up to that point.
In Northern Ireland, a further 13 deaths have been reported in hospitals bringing the total to 263. There have been a further 142 positive cases of Covid-19, bringing the total to 3,016.
