A real ‘Feast’ on opening night

FOR the second year running the Earagail Arts Festival will present a unique night of cabaret and cuisine on the opening night, July 7.

The festival’s Feast Of The Senses, in association with food partners Rathmullan House, was a tremendous success last summer.

The Feast will be held in the Festival Marquee which his year the has moved to a brand new location, the picturesque grounds of Rockhill House on the outskirts of Letterkenny.

The night will be filled with an exciting line-up such as duo Hat Fitz and Cara Robinson whose music is best described as ‘amped up old time blues with a Celtic twist’.

Already firmly established on the Australian music scene, the duo are coming to Letterkenny to entertain the Feast audience with their foot stomping blend of hill country and delta blues that is given a startling and exciting new direction with Cara’s Irish roots.

Also performing on the night will be Los Angeles’ famous country rockers, I See Hawks in LA, who will be bringing the sound of the West Coast summer to the Irish North West.

I See Hawks in LA have blossomed over their 11-year collaboration into the best psych country outfit in LA and laid down their reputation as great acoustic performers.

On New Kind of Lonely, the band play their way through a bit of Bluegrass, Folk, Roots, Hippie Rock and a touching tribute to friend and fellow musician, Amy Farris.

ISHILA visit their usual territory with some fare dabbling in topical and political musings but a few tracks broaden their lexicon on this, their first full-length album of new tunes since 2008.

You will be treated to course supper, conjured and created by Rathmullan House, featuring all locally sourced great Donegal produce served on plates to share at your table.
